University of Limerick
Location - Limerick
Limerick is a thriving, modern city and the capital of Ireland's Mid West Region. The city was founded as a Viking fortress in the 10th century and there are still many reminders of the city's eventful past such as the 12th century King John's Castle and St. Mary's Cathedral. It has a sizeable student population and offers a variety of historical, artistic and theatrical activities. In addition the University Concert Hall offers a range of classical, folk and popular music concerts throughout the year.
The University of Limerick, three miles from Limerick City, is situated in a park-like campus on the banks of the River Shannon and is the centerpiece of Ireland's National Technological Park, one of the country's premier business locations. The University's size and the compact nature of the campus enable it to foster a close sense of community among students, faculty and staff and the University believes that the creation of a friendly, caring and co-operative atmosphere is an important factor in the successful pursuit of a program of study. The faculties are:
- Kemmy Business School
- Science & Engineering
- Education & Health Sciences
- Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences
