URGE SENATE SUPPORT FOR THE MITCHELL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Thanks to Congresswoman Betty McCollum and these Members of Congress who joined her in writing to their colleagues on the House Appropriations Committee in support of funding for the Mitchell Scholarship program:   Richie Neal, Hank Johnson, Jerrold Nadler, Mark Critz, Michael Michaud, Chellie Pingree, Jim McGovern, Charles Rangel, Sanford Bishop, Brian Higgins, Chris Van Hollen, Daniel Lipinski, Gwen Moore & Joe Crowley. We are grateful for your support!  (The letter is below.)

Currently the letter is circulating in the Senate, led by Senator John F. Kerry (D-MA), Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.  

Please urge your Senators to sign on to the letter.  When you call your Senators' office, ask to speak to the staffer who handles Foreign Ops appropriations.  Tell that person you support the Mitchell Scholarship program and you'd like his/her boss to sign the Kerry letter, and all they need to do is ring Alexandra Nunez in St. Kerry's office, to get their boss on the letter.  As always, please email vargo@us-irelandalliance.org to let us know who you spoke with the response you received.
