August 2011: Mitchell Scholar Arsalan Suleman attended President Obama’s Iftar Dinner to celebrate Ramadan.  Arsalan is a Franklin Fellow at the State Department, serving as the Deputy Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).  He works closely with the Special Envoy to the OIC to implement the President's New Beginning framework to deepen and expand partnerships with Muslim communities in areas of mutual interest, like education, health, science, technology, entrepreneurship, and interfaith dialogue.
