Kesav Mohan - Raising Capital

As well as working on growth strategies for Bizlab's Milwaukee based companies, Executive VP and Legal Adviser, Kesav, uses his spare time to advise start-ups and non-profits. He does his best to connect great ideas with crucial capital.

As a 2005 Mitchell Scholar, Kesav studied International Relations at Dublin City University with classmates from around the world.  Being a Mitchell scholar gave him the opportunity to meet Irish entrepreneurs and venture capitalists and furthered his interest in social entrepreneurship.  Kesav approached the Dublin based One Foundation and successfully sought funding for a social entrepreneurship fellowship that allowed him to work with entrepreneurs on community projects in Venezuela, North America, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and Ireland.  His education and experience as a businessman and attorney allow him to continue to make a contribution to the start-up community.

Environmental issues are important to Kesav.  He helped raise financing for the bio fuels company Algae Systems (for which he sits on the Board of Advisers) and is passionate about the need to develop sources of clean, renewable energy for all.   His long-term goals include working at the executive level of state government in North Carolina and founding his own company.
