Travis Green – Working on the Google Wallet

By Conor Ryan

 travis green

At Google's Chinatown offices in Washington D.C., Travis is working on the next generation 'Google Wallet,' a project to lighten your pockets, in a very helpful way, by allowing people to pay for what they want using a cell phone instead of cash or cards.  Travis is a product manager who looks for ways to translate everyday needs, such as a payment transaction, into code for applications and products.

Travis is a 2009 Mitchell Scholar.  He received a Master's Degree in Cognitive Science from University College Dublin.  The degree program in Ireland was the perfect complement to his undergraduate education in Computational Neuroscience and his programming experience.  Travis's deep understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of computer science made him an ideal candidate to work for Google.

Travis is also working on a number of top secret projects for Google which the world will have to wait to see.  In the future he will continue to be an innovator.  He hopes one day to start his own business, taking on both the creative challenge of developing new solutions to improve the quality of our lives and the business challenge of putting the infrastructure and technology in place to bring new ideas to life.
